In December 2023, I ordered 34000 caps, of a certain size according to the specifications given by the manufacturer of the bottles, which is a French medical company. When they arrived, 30-40% of them were the right size, and fit and closed, but about 60-70% are defective - they don't fit and open no matter how much you press them.

We received the client's inquiry on Nov 18th, the picture of cap only marked the out and inner diameter. We provided the photo of our product with measurements, which fully met the client's needs, and after obtaining the customer's confirmation and agreement on the dimensions twice, we submitted the trade order.
On Jan 26th, we received a complaint that our cap size was not suitable, after receiving the sample, we found that the thickness of the mouth lip was 0.3mm higher than standard vial in China market and this important information was never told to us before, this tolerance caused the jump of the cap.
Then we provided two solutions, first one was to create a customized mold by the sample, second one was to try to find a new suitable size cap after the Chinese new Year holiday.
